IRS: Who should receive their stimulus check starting next week on July 20?

Taxpayers with annual incomes between $ 120,001 and $ 130,000 dollars should be receiving their paper stimulus check from the following week of July 20, according to the preliminary distribution schedule of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

According to the document, the checks are sent every Friday, so it is assumed that those for this July 17 will start arriving the following week by post.

The calendar circulating in the media since April provides for at least eight more rounds of submissions until mid-September.

Aid distributed under CARES Act, passed in Congress last March, applies to Americans filing tax returns with adjusted gross income of up to $ 75,000, and up to $ 150,000 for married couples filing jointly.

In the case of taxpayers who report “income above these amounts, the amount of the payment is reduced by $ 5 for every $ 100 above the thresholds of $ 75,000 / $ 150,000,” the IRS states on its website.

In total, according to figures available on the website, as of the beginning of June, the agency had sent more than 159 million payments totaling $ 267 billion in a two-month period. “Of the payments, 120 million were sent to Americans through direct deposit, 35 million by check, and 4 million payments were made in the form of a prepaid debit card,” the entity said.
